It works pretty good. Well thought out and well supported alternative, especially for community blog by multiple users.

B2evolution is great for beginners learning about configuring their blogs to look their best. Tons of instructions and how to's out there. Not just for beginners though. I prefer it to Wordpress only for the fact it is restricted so much on free hosting sites. Monetizing your blog is much easier using B2evolution in my honest opinion.

The latest version is not just a blog or multi-blog but also a photo gallery, a forum and a CMS. In many cases it covers 100% of your needs and you don't need to add anything else.

I am using b2evo since 2005. Running around 30 or 40 sites with it. They are all stable and easy to maintain. Love it. The newest versions have a little bit too much features and require a lot of customization, but it works well once the work is done. I don't need to worry too much about exploits, that is a big plus.
