Fresh install; Trying to create 1st database; MYSQL ERROR: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost'

SOLVED: I re-installed MariaDB (used the re-install button in the add apps section of the admin pages); Then I restarted the service after install.
Thanks to everyone who took a look at this!
Does someone know how to marked this as RESOLVED?

Finding the user is the issue. When I log into webuzo as that end user name, webuzo thinks I am 'root'?

From command line (out side of Webuzo), I can successfully log into MariaDb

How do I get webuzo use the username I used to create the account and STOP using root?
Does it have something to do that the username account is "Owned By: root", but I don't see a way to de-select?

I'm not logged in as root (i created a user/account, logged in as that user to get to the enduser panel, but the main control panel says "Logged in as root" at the top.

Fresh Webuzo Install. Installed MariaDB. Uninstalled MySQL.

Went to Database wizard and
The following errors were found

MYSQL ERROR: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost'
Unable to create database

Any suggestions?
