  • Simplicity for editors
Turn great ideas into great experiences. Leave your desktop behind and create compelling content on more modern devices than ever. Work efficiently with better previews and drag-and-drop image uploads. And when you need to make quick changes, choose in-context editing and use only the tools you need.

    Power for administrators
It's easier to customize components—views, lists, blocks, admin tools, and more—than ever before. Control how data is displayed without using a single line of code. Structure content with more field types, and add SEO-friendly meaning with native Schema.org markup. Make creating and managing content a great experience too.

    Accessibility for everyone
Drupal 8 ships with extensive support for accessibility standards, and not only for color contrast and font sizes. Semantic HTML5 helps you create interactions—even ones with dynamic content—that are more usable. Plus, Drupal now adopts more WAI-ARIA practices. You can make content structures easier to understand for people with disabilities.

I am a novice and decided to try Drupal. Loaded Drupal 8 and have spent several hours building a website using Drupal 8. There is a steep learning curve, not many extensions available for Drupal 8 but more coming out everyday. Very easy to install and update on A2 hosting.

Solid, reasonably secure, strangely hard to learn but then easy to use, easy for non techie clients to use with endless ways to configure

Drupal

I have been using Drupal since version 7.12 and I absolutely love it. Admittedly there is a huge learning curve, but with a rich, modular ecosystem I truly believe Drupal is the premier Open Source CMS available. As a Digital Strategy consultant, I honestly believe rupal have everything you need to maximise Search Engine Optimisation and website visibility. Regards, Peter Macinkovic

After 3 years working almost strictly with Drupal, I have to declare that I consider it is a configuration Framework, with which you build you own CMS according to your needs, more than a plain CMS. A steep learning curve, a solid API, a vibrant community, awesome results, it is a first class tool with which you can do a lot of mileage.

Simply

Drupal is definitely the best CMS. You can do everything you want with it. It may be difficult to learn, at first, but once you understand how it works the possibilities are endless. It may be resource consuming, requiring a good host to work well, but it is extremely solid, secure, trustworthy, with a huge knowledge base on the internet and highly customizable.

Better

I've used pre-configured versions of Drupal. I was not thrilled but found it mostly "usable". Very often I c&p my own html (using other software) into the content and that way I get full control. Bow that I have had the time to demo some of the other plug in softs out there I am beginning to think "Hey, Drupal ain't so bad." I would have to sample my own config further before giving it an all thumbs up.

D7 is AWESOME and much, much easier than previous versions! Even those who are relatively new to web development should be able to handle it if they put in the effort to learn.

I'm new to CMS's and I looked at several before settling on Drupal. It does have a learning curve, but that's because there's so much scope to it. Drupal 7 seems to be easier to manage than the previous release I love the community with their free advice, modules, themes and support. The more I learn, the more I realise I want to learn. 10/10.

⚊ a Guest - mooselim(January 25, 2011, 11:56 pm)

Version 7 is amazing. It beats the previous one in terms of easiness and mainly to maintain your website makes your life much easier upgrading modules without having to manually upload them yourself.

Very amazing! Beats Joomla in interference instantly. Only thing I wish for is a better mailing list the only thing joomla beats drupal at is that and more features.

⚊ a Guest - DMP(October 22, 2010, 10:31 pm)
Just starting to work with it

Without a question its is extremely robust and wait for the new core 7.x! a lot of the tough learning curve and module config bull will be gone with that new core.

⚊ a Guest - Oberstfunster(October 12, 2010, 9:07 pm)
Good tool, but requires some effort

I like drupal and what it can do . Has a huge amount of potential. However, its really is not THAT easy.. like plug and play easy. It takes time to pick the language associated with it and config it so that you really get the true power of it. Better than joomla, by far. But be prepared for some work.

⚊ a Guest - Michael C(May 7, 2010, 8:43 am)

So easy to use. It's so much better than Joomla. There are also a lot of themes and modifications.
